Future of the University
The next Future of the University Working Group gathering will be Tuesday April 22 from 11:30am - 1:00pm at the Humanities Institute, George Wells Knight House, 104 E. 15th Ave. We will be reading and discussing the implications of the report “The Current Health and Future Well-being of the American Research University.” What are the main issues and main threats to the research university? What impact might the “rational assessment of research productivity” have? With dwindling resources, how will research be affected? What are the potential new areas of research that might define the research university ten years ahead?Please plan on joining us for our brownbag lunch.
