The speakers will discuss the history of Columbus and its earliest fashion industries—the dressmakers, tailors and dry goods merchants that are a part of the city’s relationship with fashion production and retail.  This lecture is held in conjunction with the opening of the exhibition, “The Columbus Fashion Story” in the Gladys Keller Snowden Gallery of Campbell Hall which celebrates the Columbus Bicentennial.   The presentation is also part of the series featured by the Humanities Working Group for the Center for Material Culture Studies.
